Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 pounds Brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
  • 2 teaspoons honey
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a large bowl, toss Brussels sprouts with olive oil, garlic, salt, and pepper.
  3. Spread them on a baking sheet and roast for 20-25 minutes, until crisp on the outside and tender on the inside.
  4. In a small bowl, whisk together balsamic vinegar and honey.
  5. Drizzle the balsamic honey mixture over the roasted Brussels sprouts.
  6. Return to the oven and bake for another 5-10 minutes, until the glaze is caramelized.
  7. Sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese before serving (optional).
