Ingredients
1 cup white sugar
1 cup water
4 cups fresh cranberries
1 orange, zested and juiced
1 cinnamon stick
Instructions
In a medium-sized saucepan, dissolve the sugar in water over medium heat.
Add cranberries and bring to a boil; reduce heat and let simmer until cranberries start to burst (about 10-15 minutes).
Stir in the orange zest, orange juice, and cinnamon stick.
Cook for another 5 minutes, then remove from heat.
Allow the sauce to cool to room temperature before removing the cinnamon stick.
